The World Wildlife Fund is the largest conservation organization in the world. For over 45 years, the WWF has worked to expand the boundaries of conservation. It operates in over 100 countries and is supported by over 5 million people worldwide.
From solid scienctific foundations, the WWF is involved in actions from the local to the United Nations level as they work to produce innovative solutions to conservation issues across the globe. These are often issues of profound importance to both people and the natural environment.
The WWF promotes the protection of natural areas and wildlife; promotes sustainable approaches to natural resource use; and promotes more efficient use of energy as well as minimizing pollution.
